This ring consists of the draped urn signet with a braided hair detail in the band.
Inspired by Victorian mourning jewelry from the 19th century, the draped urn was a popular adornment of jewelry and cemeteries. The drape representing a veil between life and death. Hairwork was another common memento consisting of hair from the deceased worked into outstanding and meticulous weaves, braids, and knots devoting their memory and attention to the loved one lost.
